How Can I Become A Christian?

Recognize that God has purpose for your life and a plan for you to possess that purpose. (John 3:16)
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

Realize that you have sinned. Your sin keeps you separated from God's purpose for you.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.: (Romans 3:23)

Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins.
"Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, he was buried, he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." (Corinthians 15:3, 4)

Repent of your sins. Repent means to turn around and go in a different direction. Turn from your old way of living and trust Jesus to forgive your sin.
"Repent, then and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out." (Acts 3:19)

Receive God's free gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. Exercise your faith in Jesus, believing He accepted the punishment for your sin on the Cross.
"Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the power to become children of God." (John 1:12)
